LOCAL HISTORY HUB LANCASHIRE

Local History Hub is keen to develop its network further across Lancashire, whether through a Hub covering a particular town or area, or through connections across the wider county.

Lancashire has an exceptionally rich local story, shaped by industry, textiles, trade, rural communities and generations of social and economic change. Places such as Helmshore Mills Textile Museum and Lancashire Archives provide opportunities for schools to explore the county through historic places, objects and original sources.

If you’re a teacher, school, museum, archive, heritage organisation or community partner interested in strengthening local history education anywhere in Lancashire, please complete our short Expression of Interest form.

We’ll keep you updated as local interest grows and use expressions of interest to help identify where new Local History Hubs could develop.
