A new Local History Hub has launched in Cheshire West & Chester! With fantastic support from schools and community leads, the hub is now taking shape—connecting classrooms with the rich local heritage of the borough.

Local History Hub is developing an exciting new partnership with the Irish Histories Diaspora Network. Together with Dr Sophie Cooper, we're exploring a 2026–27 workshop on teaching Irish migration at primary level—supporting schools to approach complex histories with confidence and care.

We’re proud to launch Local History Hub: Blackburn with Darwen, led by Laura Butterworth of Roe Lee Park Primary School and developed with support from Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery. Together, we're building a grassroots network to help schools connect young people with the rich local history of their community.

Supporting Remembrance: A Growing Partnership with the AJR
We’re proud to be developing an ongoing partnership with the Association of Jewish Refugees to support their incredible work, especially the UK Holocaust Memorial Map. As Local History Hub grows, we are committed to signposting Holocaust memorial resources and making remembrance a core part of our mission.
