LOCAL HISTORY HUB WALSALL

There isn’t currently an active Local History Hub in Walsall, but we’d love to see one develop.

Walsall has a rich local story, shaped by industry, manufacturing and the growth and change of its communities. Its distinctive leather-making heritage, historic places, museums, archives and local collections offer plenty of opportunities for schools to explore the people, places and stories that have shaped the borough.

If you’re a teacher, school, museum, archive, heritage organisation or community partner interested in strengthening local history education in Walsall, please complete our short Expression of Interest form.

We’ll keep you updated as local interest grows and let you know about opportunities to get involved and help establish a Hub in the area.
