LOCAL HISTORY HUB DARLINGTON
Teacher-led, grassroots, and rooted in belonging.
Local History Hub Darlington is launching with the support of Tees Valley Museums. The hub will connect schools, heritage organisations, and community partners to bring Darlington’s past to life - helping children explore the people, places, and events that shaped where they live.
Through curriculum support, collaborative projects, and local storytelling, the hub will make it easier for schools and communities to work together, share knowledge, and celebrate Darlington’s rich heritage.
Get Involved
We’re now building the team that will lead this exciting new chapter.
We’re seeking a Schools Hub Lead to help connect and support local teachers as part of Local History Hub Darlington. This voluntary role is ideal for a teacher or education professional passionate about local history, community links, and creative curriculum design.
The best way to get involved -whether as a Schools Hub Lead, partner organisation, or supporter - is to complete our Expression of Interest Form. It only takes a few minutes and helps us understand how you’d like to be part of the hub’s journey.
