LOCAL HISTORY HUB HOUNSLOW

Local History Hub Hounslow brings together schools, heritage organisations and community partners to strengthen local history education across the borough.
The hub supports collaboration between teachers and local heritage organisations, making it easier for schools to access expertise, collections, historic sites and curriculum-linked learning opportunities.
From royal parks and historic houses to industry, transport, migration and diverse local communities, Hounslow has a wealth of stories to explore. The hub will help children connect with these stories while developing a stronger understanding of place, identity and belonging.
We're also seeking a volunteer Schools Hub Lead to work alongside our Community Hub Lead and help shape the future of the hub.
Teacher-led, grassroots, and rooted in belonging.

Our Team

Kate is the Learning Manager for Boston Manor House and Hogarth's House in West London. A former Primary School teacher and governor, Kate has also been part of the team at Kew Gardens, Royal Artillery Museum, Horniman Museum and Gardens and Dulwich Picture Gallery as well as several museums and charities in Boston, Massachusetts. She is passionate to to make the Arts, Heritage and Culture more meaningful, engaging, accessible and relevant to everyone.

We're inviting teachers, schools, museums, heritage organisations, archives, libraries, local historians and community groups across Hounslow to get involved.
