New Partnership in Development: Irish Histories Diaspora Network

We’re excited to announce that Local History Hub is in early-stage partnership discussions with the Irish Histories Diaspora Network. Following a productive meeting with Dr Sophie Cooper, we are exploring the development of a specialist workshop for the 2026–27 academic year.

This workshop will focus on Irish migration and how to teach it effectively at primary level. Led by Dr Cooper, it will give Local History Hub members the chance to deepen their knowledge, ask questions, and gain practical insightsfrom a leading expert in the field.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to helping schools approach complex histories with confidence and care. We look forward to sharing further updates as this exciting opportunity takes shape.
