April Round-Up: Local History Day and Continuing Growth
April was centred around the first nationwide celebration of Local History Day on 22nd April, with schools across the UK exploring the people, places, and stories that shape their communities. The month also saw Local History Hub join the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and continue preparations for further regional growth, including the announcement of a new hub for Essex.

Today, schools across the UK are marking Local History Day, exploring the people, places and stories that shape their local area. From classrooms to heritage sites, pupils are connecting learning to the communities around them.
