Local History Hub Accrington & Hyndburn is a new, teacher-led hub connecting schools, heritage organisations, and community partners to explore the area’s rich industrial, civic, and community history. Led locally by heritage and education professionals, the hub strengthens curriculum learning and helps children and communities connect with the stories that shape where they live.

We’re delighted to welcome Alys Rouncefield as Regional Heritage Advisor for North West England. Alys is an Outreach and Engagement Officer at Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery and Community Lead for our Blackburn with Darwen hub. She brings a passion for place-based learning, strong partnerships with schools and communities, and a deep commitment to helping people connect with the stories that make them proud of where they live.
