Welcoming Alys Rouncefield: Regional Heritage Advisor for North West England

We’re delighted to announce that Alys Rouncefield has joined Local History Hub as our new Regional Heritage Advisor for North West England.

Alys is an Outreach and Engagement Officer at Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery, where she helps people connect with the stories and heritage of the area. Her work focuses on making local history accessible and meaningful, from collaborating with schools on place-based learning to supporting creative community projects such as National Saturday Club and Creatives of Blackburn.

Alys has already made a huge contribution to Local History Hub as Community Lead for our Blackburn with Darwen Hub, helping to strengthen partnerships between schools, museums, and local organisations.

Friendly, passionate, and deeply rooted in her community, Alys loves nothing more than a good conversation about the stories that make people proud of where they live.
