LOCAL HISTORY HUB SURREY
-
Local History Hub Surrey connects schools, heritage organisations, and community partners to support high-quality, place-based history across the county. The hub helps children and young people explore the people, places, and stories that have shaped Surrey, strengthening local pride and a sense of connection to where they live.
At this stage, the hub is focused on building relationships, signposting good local practice, and strengthening connections between schools and heritage organisations across Surrey. As interest develops, the hub aims to support greater collaboration and create opportunities for schools and heritage partners to work together in practical, curriculum-linked ways.
Through networking, curriculum support, and local storytelling, the hub works to make local history accessible, meaningful, and relevant for learners across the county.
