We’re delighted to announce that Ann-Marie and Jacquie have been appointed as the Schools Leads for Local History Hub Liverpool!

Both are passionate educators based at Monksdown Primary School, where they have long championed inclusive, community-rooted learning. With years of experience working across the primary phase, they bring creativity, warmth and a deep commitment to ensuring that every child feels connected to the history of where they live.

Ann-Marie and Jacquie believe in giving children a voice and empowering them to explore their local heritage with curiosity and pride. They are dedicated to building strong partnerships between schools, communities and heritage organisations across Liverpool, helping bring the city’s rich and diverse stories into the classroom.

Their approach to leadership is grounded in collaboration, with a focus on supporting teachers, listening to what works, and making local history as engaging and meaningful as possible.

We’re thrilled to have them leading the way in Liverpool and look forward to supporting their work as the Hub continues to grow.
